Pastured Pork is an old method of raising pigs that faded away when production farms became the main source of food for the citizens of the USA. Over the past two decades however it has made a tremendous comeback, many of the myths about pigs have been debunked, such as that they are too lean when raised on pasture, that they simply won’t grow, or that the meat will be tough. I am proud to say that none of those are true! Here at Kauffmans Keep we raise our pigs out on pasture, they are rotated to a new field weekly, and are supplemented with 100% GMO Free feed, mixed on site, and grown by a local farm.
